The Ohara Incident, popularly known as the Annihilation of the Ohara, is a messed-up story that burned down many lives on West Blue island. The Ohara island was resided by a group of researchers who secretly carried out their works to know more about the Void Century.

Robin’s parents were one of those researchers. Though the residents thought they covered their trails, the Marines came to know of their work. They ransacked their research works, ultimately burning the whole island with it. The Marines used the Buster Call (a form of action where a group of marine ships attacks a particular destination together, bombing it).

It resulted in the eradication of the island along with its residents and the Tree of Knowledge. Robin’s parents were victims of the incident, with her being the only survivor. Vice Admiral Jaguar D. Saul opposed the Marines’ idea of using the Buster Call. Shortly afterward, he found himself washed up on the shores of Ohara and befriended Robin.

He even sacrificed his life to save Robin, making him the traitor to the Marines.  As he died, Robin escaped on a boat, marking her as the most heinous criminal wanted by the World Government. The officials didn’t want to leave any trace of Oharians, so they put a high bounty on the child. Initially, she struggles to survive, finally finding herself a home in the name of the Straw Hat Pirates.

After escaping the tragic Ohara incident, Robin tried to find herself shelter. She wandered and tried working on different kinds of jobs, ultimately ending up with a pirate group. Though things seemed to calm down a bit, a storm kept brewing underneath.

Robin’s use of her Devil Fruit power gave her immense strength to survive malicious schemes. Every time she joined a pirate group, she ended up being betrayed by them. They used her for her powers and always ended up making a deal with the Marines to ship her over.

Her struggles continued until she met Luffy and his crew who even in the face of dominating power never gave up and fought for her. When she got captured during the Water 7 Arc, Luffy’s team declared war against the World Government by burning the Marines’ symbolic flag.

They stated that the Oharians were experimenting on some unfathomable evil, and they had to exterminate them for it. They even claimed that Robin is the sole survivor who carries the secret of those research.

They even stated that she burned down five Marine ships during her escape, marking her as a traitor and a dangerous individual to the world. After the Ohara Annihilation, she had a bounty of $79,000,000 billion. All these happened as the World Government wanted to bury the Void Century mystery underneath. As the story progresses, we seem to find more clues about it. Hope we can find out the whole truth soon.
