Resident Evil’s Surprise Anime Debut
Capcom decided to name the series ‘Leon and the Mysterious Village’. With superior quality and age-friendly graphics, the short clip that the team released is already well received by the younger generation. The way the team transformed those deadly weapons and those fierce characters into bewitching characters has already surpassed Capcom as a creator.
The story will begin with its usual setting where an RPD officer is in search of Ashley Graham, in rural Spain. Leon moves forward with his search for Ashley, however, he ends up coming across red-eyed villagers speaking in distant languages. One of the villagers ends up stabbing Leon with an axe, where we see beautiful rainbows flowing through his head, followed by a note confirming his death. Following this, we see Leon flying in the stars with rainbows and infected dogs by his side, the episode ends up quoting “Dying is the story of his life”.
The anime caters to the beautiful setting and a production style similar to that of Ghibli studios, and definitely we are eager to know what more this anime has to offer us. While the first episode did last for not more than a minute, we are definitely more than excited about this survival journey of Ashley and Leon, and the thought of this being produced as a full-fledged series is driving the fans crazy.
