2023 has been an amazing year for anime. Many new anime have been released this year and many more are scheduled to. ‘Hell’s Paradise’ is another gem in the anime world. The anime was released in April 2023 and fans are quite curious about it. The anime is set in a dystopian land where Shinobis live.
The manga received a good response from the people and the anime even more so. However, many fans wish to know more about the series, the main characters in particular. Here are the two main characters of ‘Hell’s Paradise’.
Gabimaru The Hollow
Gabimaru, is the main protagonist of ‘Hell’s Paradise’. His alias is Gabimaru the Hollow. He was a Shinobi formerly associated with Iwagakure. He married his wife but didn’t love her in the start, however as time passed, his love and affection grew. It grew to the point that he wanted to quit being a Shinobi and live peacefully with his wife.
He conveyed the same to his village, and the village asked him to do one last job before he retired. Unfortunately for him, his village betrayed him and offered him up to the authorities to be executed. Appearance-wise, he is short but muscular and powerful. He has white hair that covers one side of his face and red eyes in the manga and yellow in the anime. He also has many scars which he got from being a Shinobi.
Personality-wise, Gabimaru is the personification of his alias. He is very calm and composed. He didn’t waver in the face of danger, he didn’t panic or become worried when he was about to be executed or when he faced many death row criminals.
Yamada Asaemon Sagiri
Yamada Asaemon Sagiri is the second Protagonist of ‘Hell’s Paradise’. She is the 12th Asaemon of the Yamada clan and is the daughter of the former head of the clan. Sagiri recruited Gabimaru to be a part of the ten criminals sent to retrieve the elixir of life for the Shogun. She lies to him about her identity at first to execute him, but her opinion of him changes when she heard his story.
Sagiri recruited him for the Shogun because she learned that anyone who could find the elixir of life would be pardoned for their crimes. She wanted him to return home to his wife. Appearance-wise, Sagiri has an average height. She has long brown hair that she keeps in a ponytail. She has bangs and two front pieces of hair that reach her robes.
Personality-wise, Sagiri is very serious and is quite particular about her work and responsibilities. Sagiri is cold and unattached when she executes people. She is also quite relentless as she forced Gabimaru to answer all her questions for the interview even if he was naked. She also monitored him when he accepted the offer of going to the island to find the elixir of life. These two are the main characters of ‘Hell’s Paradise’. The anime is one of the animes to release in 2023 along with ‘Demon Slayer’, and ‘Attack On Titan’ and has been very well received by fans.
