Katheryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza are two great actresses sharing the screen in ‘Agatha All Along’. It’s almost impossible to imagine what the show would have been like had either one of them not been a part of it. But Plaza might just have made us imagine it as she revealed an incident where she felt like she would die.
The actress recalled an incident where she was convinced she was going to die as she spoke of her co-star Patti LuPone. Plaza revealed she was struggling for her life because of a special treatment she received from a nurse that one of her co-stars suggested she have. Here’s the full story.
Aubrey Plaza Opens Up About Her Near Death Experience
Talking to host Seth Meyers on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers‘, Aubrey Plaza recalled the time when she and Patti LuPone shared a place while performing in an off-Broadway production of Danny and Deep Blue Sea. The incident took place last year when the ‘Dirty Grandpa‘ actress felt sick during the play run.
At the time, LuPone told her about a “Special nurse” called Joe, who comes at night. While Patti was out for an event, the nurse came by and did exactly what the Company actress had told Aubrey Plaza of. “He came and he hooked me up, and he said, ‘I’m just gonna give you some vitamins and things like that,’” the ‘White Lotus‘ actress stated.

Joe the nurse asked her if she wanted the “Patti special”, to which Aubrey agreed. Recalling the time she said, “I thought it was going to be more like a children’s Benadryl [that makes you] a little groggy, but when you get Benadryl just injected intravenously… it was like a horse tranquilizer for me.”
Patti LuPone Also Got Scared Seeing Aubrey Plaza’s Condition
Till the time Patti Lupone came back home, Aubrey Plaza was in a state where she couldn’t even talk properly. Plaza stated that she was only able to make a slurring voice while speaking with Patti.
Plaza also went on to add that she was sweating while being cold and hot at the same time. “Joe, am I alright? Am I gonna make it? And he was like, ‘Oh, you’ll be fine,'” Plaza recalled asking the supposed nurse, while she was almost sure she was dying.

Looking at her condition, even Putti Lupone had gotten a bit scared and offered her a peanut butter English muffin. After Patti practically shoved a muffin in Plaza’s mouth, she was considerably fine. Although she still recalls it as an experience that almost convinced her that her life was ending.
