Actor Penn Badgley and Blake Lively had a long withstanding relationship on and off screen while they worked together on ‘Gossip Girl’. Though they dated and later broke up during the show, both the actors have always talked about each other in good light, giving fans an insight into their relationship.

Blake Lively’s Prank On Penn Badgley
Speaking on the Podcrushed podcast, Penn Badgley recalled a funny prank Blake Lively played on him to make him believe he was Steven Tyler’s son. He recalled that there was a press item where someone believed he was Tyler’s son, and him and his team were trying to kill it. Shortly after, however, his publicist reached back and said, surprisingly, Steven Tyler himself believes it and was adamant about his paternity.
“At this point, I of course don’t think it’s true, but I’m just like, ‘How could Steven Tyler believe this? Like, there’s no way. You have to be kidding. Steven Tyler of Aerosmith thinks that I’m his [child]?’” Badgley said.
The actor then reached out to his mom, at none other than Blake Lively’s advice, while he grappled with this new knowledge of himself. “I was like, ‘Are you f–king kidding me? I am Steven Tyler’s son.’” Badgley recalled, adding, “You know, I’ve always wanted to play music. I didn’t want to exploit the man, I definitely didn’t want to do that.”
Later on, as he spoke to his mother, things escalated and his rationale kicked and he said, Blake “probably at that point couldn’t keep a straight face” as the room erupted in applause at the prank pulled off by Lively successfully.

Penn Badgley And Blake Lively’s Relationship
During the time they worked on ‘Gossip Girl’, Penn and Blake dated for almost three years, from 2007 to 2010. Though the relationship ran its course, they still continued to work together on the show. The show producers and people associated with them also lauded their professionalism and how they kept things friendly even after the breakup.
“Every relationship you have, you’re learning and growing and taking something from that,” Lively said about the breakup. “So for me, it’s never been too dramatic of a thing when something ends.”
As of now, Blake Lively is happily married to Ryan Reynolds, with whom she shares four daughters. As for Badgley, he is married to Domino Kirke, and is the stepfather to her son.
