Brendan Fraser Talks About Being Unemployed After His Oscar Win

This year’s Best Actor race was decided when Brendan Fraser appeared in the first frame of ‘The Whale.’ His deeply impassionate and heartbreaking portrayal of a loner resonated with the audience, winning him a well-deserved Oscar. But now that he’s added an Oscar to his portfolio, Brendan Fraser is in no rush for his next acting role.

Fraser has admitted to being rather selective with the movies he wants to star in. For a long time, he has been on the fringes of Hollywood, trying to stay relevant through television roles. While he continues to bask in the joy of his Oscar glory, he does seem excited about his part in Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon.’

The Oscar winner told Hannah Storm he has nothing on the horizon regarding work. The idea is to find something that speaks to him. In the meantime, he’s excited about his bit part in the Martin Scorsese film ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ which has a release date of October 6, following a wider release on October 20, 2023

Brendan Fraser told Storm, “I will tell you that I’m excited to see it myself. We were working in really hot weather in Oklahoma, and I can’t oversell my participation in this film because it’s epic. There’s so many actors in this movie when you see it. I’ll arrive for a scene or two at the end.”
