If you have not yet watched the second part on Netflix, proceed with care since this contains a lot of spoilers. ‘Bridgerton Season 3’ was full of twists and turns and many pleasantly surprising scenarios. One of them definitely was Benedict Bridgerton joining a throuple. It is still uncertain whether he will get a season of his own.
But him embracing his sexuality is something that would change the course for his character. The only thing that the show was lacking was a queer couple and that they have made up with Benedict now. So what does it mean for his future? And what does showrunner Jess Brownell say?
‘Bridgerton’ Explores Polyamory With Benedict Bridgerton
Polyamory is undoubtedly the hottest topic right now since many films and series are exploring the concept. Netflix’s ‘Bridgerton’ has dipped its toes in the same waters with Benedict Bridgerton. In the second part of season 3, Benedict gets involved in a polyamory with Tilley and her “dear friend Paul”.
In episode 6, Benedict meets Paul Suarez through Tilley at a dinner party. Although at first hesitant when they invite him to their throuple, Benedict gives in to exploring polyamory.

What Does This Mean For Benedict’s Future In The Show?
The LGBTQ community is very happy about Benedict Bridgerton embracing his bisexuality. After Brimsley of ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story‘, he is the second queer character in ‘Bridgerton’. However, the question arises what will this mean to him finding love in the future seasons.
Showrunner Jess Brownell says to EW, “His connection with Tilley Arnold is about him figuring out how to be of society while still being true to himself.” She continued to say, “If anything, [this throuple] confirmed something for him about himself.”
“Benedict has always been a character who hasn’t felt like he quite fits in society, but he hasn’t figured out how to break the rules in a way that works for him. His connection with Tilley Arnold this season is really about him figuring out how to be of society while still being true to himself,” Brownell added. “His embrace of his queerness with the throuple is a moment where he’s really figuring out how to be true to himself,” she adds. “And we’ll continue that going forward.” But she is tight-mouthed about whether Benedict will take center stage in season 4 or not.
