Scarlett Johansson is one of the most successful and celebrated actresses in Hollywood. With her films grossing $14.3 billion globally, Johansson is one of the highest-grossing box office stars of all time. She is also known for portraying Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Recently, the 38-year-old revealed that she is done with Marvel projects and won’t be doing any films or shows for the MCU. Her comments come for the first time since she had filed a lawsuit against Disney over ‘Black Widow‘ releasing simultaneously in theatres and streaming platforms.

Scarlett Johansson Opens Up About Her Future With Marvel
Recently, Scarlett Johansson gave an interview with Gwyneth Paltrow for her The Goop Podcast. “Doing Avengers was so much fun. I was like 26 years old. I was single, it was fun,” she said.
Paltrow then asked her if she would do another Marvel film in the future. “I’m done. Chapter is over“, Johansson responded. “I kind of did all that I had to do. Also, coming back and playing a character again and again like that, over a decade of time, is such a unique experience.”
Johansson then praised Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. “He’s such a lover of cinema, storytelling. He really is a fan,” she said. In 2021, Johansson did the solo ‘Black Widow‘ film which was marred by a dispute with Disney. The issue was eventually settled with the terms still undisclosed.

Gwyneth Paltrow Also Talks About Being A Part Of MCU
During their conversation, Gwyneth Paltrow also reflected on her time doing the MCU films. She said it was “fun to be in something that resonated so deeply with people culturally.”
After declaring that she is done with them, Johansson asked her if she might make a comeback since her character Pepper Potts didn’t die. “I think so. I mean, I didn’t die so they can always ask me,” Paltrow said. Johansson then stated that her character may come back. To which Paltrow responded, “Really? A 64-year-old Pepper Potts? How great.”
In 2008, Paltrow played Pepper Potts in ‘Iron Man‘ and continued to play the role till ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ After that, she took a break from acting to focus on her family and business ventures.
