Apple swooped in the film ‘Project Artemis’ for more than $100 million as it hit the market earlier this year. Nothing much is revealed about the plot of this high-budget movie. But there is a major change that has taken place, the lead Chris Evans is being replaced by the ‘Magic Mike’ actor Channing Tatum.
The only plot detail known about the film is that it deals with the space race of the 1960s. The script is written by Rose Gilroy. While the production is handled by actress Scarlett Johansson along with Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn for their These Pictures production company. Channing Tatum Replaces Chris Evans
Chris Evans and Channing Tatum are two unique and talented actors from the movie industry. And in the upcoming high profile movie ‘Project Artemis’, ‘The Vow’ actor is going to replace Evans. The ‘Marvel’ actor had to leave the film due to scheduling conflicts with his upcoming movies ‘Pain Hustlers‘ and ‘Big Red One’. Evans has just wrapped up another movie, the adventure rom-com, ‘Ghosted’ with Apple.
“We have been huge fans of Channing’s for a long time and are so honored to finally have the opportunity to work with him,” said Jonathan Lia, the movie’s co-producer welcoming Tatum. The 42-year-old has had a great year with movies like ‘Dog’, ‘The Lost City’ and upcoming movies like ‘P Island’ and ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’.

Another Major Change For ‘Project Artemis’
The movie also has a new director. Jason Bateman has stepped down from the directorial role. It would be Greg Berlanti taking up the position. Bateman separated ways with the team due to creative differences. Berlanti is excited about his role and the crew is also excited about the way Berlanti is going to shape the movie.
“Greg’s passion for character and storytelling has driven his decades-long career in film & TV. We couldn’t be more excited for him to lead our team on this journey,” Jonathan Lia remarked. Berlanti is a successful producer with ‘The Flash’, ‘Riverdale’, and ‘The Flight Attendant’. His directorial success is evident in the film, ‘Love, Simon’.
