Chris Pratt has made a career out of playing mostly likable and charming characters. After starring in supporting roles initially, he gained prominence for his roles in ‘Parks and Recreation’ and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He is now gearing up for the release of ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie.’
Recently, the 43-year-old actor talked about his upcoming animated adventure film which is based on the popular video game franchise. There is a lot of apprehension about the film just like most video-game adaptations. However, Pratt has assured everyone that the film is well made.

Chris Pratt Talks About ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’
Chris Pratt is lending his voice to Mario in the upcoming animated adventure flick ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie‘. Directed by Aaron Horvath, it is based on Nintendo’s namesake video game franchise.
It is a common practice in Hollywood to be apprehensive about video game adaptations because of their past track records. However, Chris is assuring everyone that their childhood memories are in safe hands.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor attended the film’s Los Angeles premiere on Saturday. “It makes sense, I was pretty nervous when they offered it to me. I thought, ‘Wow, let’s not screw this up,’” he said on the red carpet.
He said that people have “probably seen some of their favorite IP getting screwed up.” Further adding, “It’s kind of a cynical business. People make movies just because a title has reach.”

Pratt Believes The Film Has Done Justice To Its Source Material
During the premiere, Pratt talked about ‘The Lego Movie‘. He had initially thought about how anyone could make a film about Legos. But the film turned out to be a critical and commercial success and spawned a sequel.
He said, “Just because something has reach doesn’t mean it’s going to be a good movie and there’s instances of people making bad movies and ruining people’s childhoods.”
While concluding, Pratt said: “I think the movie is fantastic and I think your childhood is firmly intact.” The film is scheduled to release theatrically on April 5, 2023.
