Colin Jost Roasts Joe Biden At White House Correspondents’ Dinner With Jokes About His Growing Age And Rivalry With Trump

Colin Jost hosted one of the most hilarious roasts of all time during the White House Correspondents’ dinner on Sunday, all at the expense of President Joe Biden who sat laughing through the entire show.

Jost took jabs at the President with several jokes pointed at his rivalry with former President Donald Trump, his growing age and the bag of drugs found at the White House earlier. Here are some of the best jokes Colin Jost made about Joe Biden.

Colin Jost started off the dinner by joking about a strange bag found in White House last July and how many speculated at the time that it was drugs. “The last time I was in D.C. I left my cocaine at the White House. Luckily, the president was able to put it to good use for his State of the Union. I am kidding, of course. The president doesn’t call it cocaine. He calls it high-speed rail.”

He then joked about former President Donald Trump’s attacks at Biden and how he calls him senile and a criminal mastermind. “I love that Trump’s two attacks on President Biden are that he’s a senile old man and a criminal mastermind,” he said.

“I think you [have] got to pick one. It’s not like Trump himself is young and sharp. I am not saying both candidates are old, but you know Jimmy Carter is out there thinking, ‘I could maybe win this thing,'” he added. This drew a few laughs from the audience that otherwise remained barely responsive during a lot of his statements.

Jost also referred to Biden as a “decent man“, clarifying that his grandfather voted for his Presidency with a belief in his goodness. “He voted for you, and the reason that he voted for you is because you’re a decent man,” Jost told Biden. “My grandpa voted for decency and decency is why we’re all here tonight,” he added.

Colin Jost isn’t the first person to joke or be concerned about Biden’s age. The President’s senility has been a topic of conversation for a long time as many have questioned if he’s fit enough to continue being a President.

The 81-year-old president has had a stutter for a large portion of his life and is not exactly the best public speaker out there. However, Biden’s speech has become more faltering and slurred in recent years, and his errors have become more frequent. In a recent blunder, her referred to Emmanuel Macron as François Mitterrand and former German Chancellor Angela Merkel as Helmut Kohl.

Biden himself has acknowledged people’s concerns for his age, but sharply added that he’s working for the democracy in America. “A lot of people seem focused on my age. I get it believe me, I know it more than anyone. I’m running because democracy is at stake, because in 2024 democracy is on the ballot once again,” Joe Biden said during a recent fundraiser.

As the Presidential elections get closer, many have questioned Biden’s capabilities as a President, and if it will be possible for him to get re elected. The Presidential elections will be held in November 2024.
