Colman Domingo’s portrayal of Ali in HBO’s hit series ‘Euphoria’ has left a lasting impression on fans. As the tough, no-nonsense sponsor to Zendaya’s troubled Rue, Ali has been a beacon of wisdom and strength throughout the show’s dramatic twists and turns.
As the third season approaches, one aspect of Ali’s life remains a mystery: his sexual side. While ‘Euphoria‘ is recognized for its candid depiction of the complicated lives of East Highland’s teenagers, the show has yet to dig into Ali’s personal life outside of his work as a mentor. But if Colman Domingo gets his way, that might change in season 3.
Colman Domingo’s Bold Request For ‘Euphoria’ Season 3
During an appearance on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy on Aug. 8, Domingo revealed his hopes for Ali in the upcoming season. “I am asking for my character to have sex,” Domingo told host Andy Cohen. “I would like to see—because I’m like, ‘These young kids are out there having all this kind of sex,’ and I’m like, ‘I think Ali needs to get some this season.'”
Can you blame him? Given the intense, often steamy nature of ‘Euphoria’, it’s only fair that Ali gets a slice of the action. And honestly, who wouldn’t want to see a more personal side of Ali? We’ve seen him as a mentor—now it’s time to see him as a man with his own needs and wants.

Will Ali Get To Counsel Troubled Nate?
Andy Cohen, ever the provocateur, suggested that Domingo take his idea straight to ‘Euphoria’ creator Sam Levinson. “Do you ever go to [creator] Sam Levinson and be like, ‘Hey dude, let my character counsel Jacob Elordi a little bit. Let me get in there with him,'” Cohen joked, referring to a potential storyline involving Ali and Nate Jacobs, played by Jacob Elordi.
Domingo’s response was nothing short of enthusiastic. “You know, Andy, I think that’s the pitch that you and I can make. I think the world wants that,” he replied, clearly amused by the idea. And honestly, wouldn’t it be something to see Ali and Nate cross paths in a more significant way?
As the buzz around season 3 of ‘Euphoria’ continues to grow, HBO has confirmed that key cast members, including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Hunter Schafer, will be returning. Earlier this year, Domingo joked to People that the third season would “take place in a nursing home in southeast Los Angeles” due to the long gap between seasons.
