Did Kanye West Accuse Rihanna Of Domestic Violence In 2019?

Kanye West is someone who lost all the credibility and respects this year that he built over the years. The ‘Donda‘ rapper has been called out by people across the globe for his anti-semitic tweets. Several brands like Adidas and Vogue have cut ties with him, costing him billions.

However, this is not the first instance of his motormouth. In 2019, the rapper-turned-fashion designer blamed Rihanna for domestic violence over the Chris Brown case. This took place in one of the episodes of ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.’

Officially known as Ye, West has been in the news lately for his anti-semitic tweets and the backlash he has been receiving. However, back in 2019, he said something weird too.

Appearing in an episode of ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman’, the rapper blamed Rihanna for domestic violence in the issues with her ex, Chris Brown.

He allegedly took sides with Brown following his 2009 assault on the Barbadian singer. This shocked the audience members who were present during the recording. None of his statements made it to the final cut.

One of the audience members, David Maldonado, quoted Kanye as saying, “Chris Brown’s career is basically over and you have Rihanna and everyone took her side.” Ye added, “She must have done something to merit what happened to her.”

In the episode, Ye also talked about the #MeToo movement and right-wing conspiracy theories. He also said that the liberals label anyone wearing the MAGA cap as a nazi.

Noah Reich, another audience member said: “It was shocking to see that Kanye West could share harmful alt-right beliefs, conspiracy theory after conspiracy and misogynistic beliefs about women for the majority of the interview and end up with an edit that removed all those items in favor of celebrity fluff content.”

Ye also talked about his bipolar disorder. “Kanye also told Dave that he had just been diagnosed with bipolar disorder six months earlier, which led to a personal discussion about mental illness, its stigma and treatment, and for the first time he talked about what he experiences when he has bipolar episodes,” the production company said.
