The long-serving monarch of Britain, Queen Elizabeth II breathed her last breath on September 8, 2022. Many artists, world leaders, and celebrities extended condolences to the Royal Family. Among the many was the ‘Donda’ rapper Kanye West. The artist has proved his mettle over the years, but he did not shy away from controversies. Recently, he attended the star-studded London Fashion Week. At another event, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian also strutted the runway for Dolce & Gabbana.
The rapper and SKIMS founder have gone through a rough patch since their divorce. The pinnacle of craziness was reached when Kanye started attacking Kim and her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson. But, Britain’s monarch’s death gave “a new light” to West. Nevertheless, he once again paid tribute to the Queen, but did he just compare his split to the death of Queen Elizabeth II?

“I Lost My Queen Too”: Kanye West Still Not Over Kim Kardashian
Both Kanye and Kim Kardashian graced the Fashion Weeks in London and Milan, respectively. The rapper attended Fashion Week with bedazzled slippers, while Kim wore Dolce & Gabbana at Fashion Week. Nonetheless, West put up an Instagram story on his official account. The worded story was against a black background which read, “LONDON I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. I LOST MY QUEEN TOO.”
After months of a series of debacles, West finally admitted his mistake of attacking Kim Kardashian constantly. In a Good Morning America interview, Kanye apologized to Kardashian for causing stress. He said, “This is the mother of my children, and I apologize for any stress that I have caused, even in my frustration, because God calls me to be stronger.”
He continued, “But also, ain’t nobody else finna be causing no stress either. I need this person to be least stressed and of the best, sound mind and as calm as possible to be able to raise those children at the end of the day.”

“Releasing All The Grudges”: The Rapper Posted After The Death Of Queen Elizabeth II
The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II was not away from controversies. From Prince Harry and Prince Andrew not wearing military uniforms to Meghan Markle not being allowed at the family service, it attracted eyeballs. Nevertheless, the world mourned the death of the monarch. However, for Kanye, death was an alarm of how life can be unpredictable, and we should unload any grudges we have.
West wrote a note along with two portraits of the queen. He wrote, “Life is precious. Releasing all the grudges today. Leaning into the light.”
The note came after the social media frenzy attacking his ex-wife and her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson. West shared many contentious screenshots of personal messages of Pete, Kim, and Ariana Grande. This happened after the reality TV star announced her divorce from him in February 2022. Since then, he has released a song dissing Pete Davidson even after an ultimatum from the Kardashian. Now, he has come under scrutiny with his faith-based school ‘Donda Academy.’
