The two actors first met on the set of ‘Lady Bird.‘ The co-stars have often joked about their on-screen characters. In 2019, talking to Entertainment Weekly, Ronan said to Chalamet, “I love that in ‘Lady Bird’, you broke my heart. In ‘Little Women’, I got to break your heart.” To this, he replied, “Yes, that’s true. Then I married your sister.”
The two have enjoyed working together and speak highly of each other. Chalamet had also said, “It’s so rare with Saoirse — I’m so f***ing grateful to get to work with her.” The actor also added that if he writes a book on his own life, it’d definitely include a whole chapter solely for Ronan, “A chapter of Saoirse,” Chalamet declared.
Ronan has also spoken of Chalamet in endearing words. Talking to Access Hollywood, the 28-year-old actress said that when girls ask about “Timmy,” as she affectionately calls him, she starts by appreciating his acting but ends up gushing over his blue eyes. Ronan also shared with EW the natural and comfortable companionship she shares with Chalamet. She said, “He keeps me on my toes — I’m never quite sure what he’s going to do next. That only progressed more and grew more. It helped that we do have a very natural rapport with each other.”
