Days after the launch of her new album ‘Rockstar‘, Dolly Parton donned a bedazzled mesh ensemble during The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show at the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day showdown against the Washington Commanders.
It’s not everyone’s cup of tea to give tough competition to Cowboys’ cheerleader outfit, as the entire AT&T Stadium in Texas’ Arlington watches — but Dolly did it with all her shine, and aced it.
Dolly Parton Was Clad In Stars And Glamour
A white vest adorned with blue stars, a chest-baring blue crop top, and white shorts are what Dolly rocked the stage with. A crystal star shining proudly over Dolly’s belly button was unmissable.
Her performance started with the classic hit ‘Jolene‘, and smoothly transitioned into ‘9 to 5’. These two were followed by a rendition of Queen’s ‘We Are the Champions‘.
Dolly’s performance was anticipated for weeks since the news of her being a part of the halftime came out. And she did not disappoint.
In a media statement earlier, she had declared that she would team up with The Salvation Army, and dubbed Red Kettles as “a symbol of hope for our friends and neighbors facing hard times.” “Every small act of generosity helps, and together, we can all love our neighbors this holiday season and beyond,” she said, urging everyone to contribute.

Parton’s Recently Released Album ‘Rockstar’
Days after the statement, Dolly released her latest album ‘Rockstar‘ on November 17, featuring 30 tracks and collaborations with several bigshots including Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Elton John, and Pink, among others.
A twist to Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball‘ was also given a makeover as part of her album, turning it into a duet which came as a surprise for her goddaughter Cyrus as well.
“…when I heard ‘Wrecking Ball,’ I almost wrecked again. I thought when it started into that chorus, ‘It hit me like a wrecking ball,’ I thought, ‘Well, how great can a song be?’” she said in an Instagram, sharing her reason behind making the decision.
Cyrus also thanked her aunt for letting her be a part of her album through the duet. “I’ve grown up covering my Aunt Dollys music & it’s an honor to hear her singing one of my songs,” she wrote in a caption of a photo of her and Dolly on Instagram.
