Donald Trump is back at it again, and this time, he’s setting his sights on none other than pop sensation Taylor Swift. The 34-year-old singer-songwriter has recently thrown her hat into the political ring, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 Presidential election.
Now, in true Trump fashion, he’s made it clear that he doesn’t think the ‘Cruel Summer‘ singer’s political opinions will come without consequences. Is this just another attempt by Trump to stir the pot, or does he really believe that Swift will face backlash for speaking her mind?
Donald Trump Lashes Out At Taylor Swift For Endorsing Kamala Harris
In a Wednesday interview with Fox & Friends, the former president didn’t hold back when discussing Swift’s Harris endorsement. During the interview, Trump was asked about Swift’s public support for Harris.
“I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” Trump said. He then threw in a classic Trump-ism: “It was just a question of time… But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat. And she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.“
Is Trump implying Swift’s music career could take a hit because of her political stance? That’s a bold assumption, especially considering her legions of devoted fans, also known as “Swifties.” They have been known to support her through thick and thin.
But Trump seems convinced that backing Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, will have some kind of repercussion for the singer. Whether this “price” comes to fruition, only time will tell, but Taylor seems unbothered.
Taylor Swift’s Bold Move Supporting Kamala Harris
Following the presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, Taylor Swift took to Instagram to announce her support for Harris. Her post, accompanied by a cat photo, urged her fans to research the candidates.
Swift wrote, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.” She praised, “I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”

Swift didn’t shy away from addressing the elephant in the room – Trump’s Truth Social platform, which had circulated fake AI generated images of her supposedly supporting the former president. “It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” she said.
During the same Fox interview, Trump made a point to mention the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. “I like Brittany. I think Brittany’s great … She’s a big MAGA fan. That’s the one I like much better than Taylor Swift.”
Swift, who has previously been seen hanging out with Brittany at Chiefs games, probably won’t lose sleep over this one. Plus, Swift and Brittany were seen hugging it out at the U.S. Open after rumors of a rift surfaced.
