All the glamor and fame that celebrities are constantly surrounded by often makes them appear larger than life to their fans. Some celebrities are looked up to so much that the fans often forget they too are human beings, just like the rest of us.
But can we really blame the fans? The way heroes and heroines are portrayed on screen often misleads the watchers into believing that they are better than the rest of us laymen. But a sneak peek into their real lives might just take that misbelief away. One such revelation about the ‘Fight Club‘ star Brad Pitt from his ex-roommate might help his fans realize that the actor is human — or rather, disgusting.
Jason Priestley Spills Secrets Of Brad Pitt From When They Lived Together
Actor Jason Priestley, who shared an apartment with Brad Pitt for some time during his struggling days, revealed a detail about the star that his fans may have a hard time believing. Describing the quirky living arrangement with Pitt, ‘The Beverly Hills, 90210′ actor spilled some beans about Pitt’s questionable habits during an appearance on ‘Live With Kelly and Mark’.
“Yes, yes he was one of my roommates for a brief period of time,” Priestley said. “There were three of us living in a two bedroom apartment in a really crappy part of L.A.”
Priestley asserted that Pitt was a decent roommate. “Brad wasn’t as bad as my other roommate, who was an absolute disaster, but Brad was okay,” he said. “We used to play this game, all of us, to see who could go the longest without showering. I think about it now, I’m like ‘Dude, how disgusting! What were you thinking?’”
When asked who won these anti-shower contests, Priestley quickly pointed to Pitt. “Brad, always Brad. I don’t think he does that anymore, but back then, he could go a long time without showering,” he said with a laugh.

Pitt’s Lack Of Hygiene Is Common Knowledge
As the pun in Brad Pitt’s name has it, the discussion inevitably touched on his pit hygiene. Brad’s pits have been discussed before when his ‘Inglorious Bastards‘ co-star Eli Roth shared his quick-and-dirty cleansing tip a few years back.
“He shared that when you’re sweating and don’t have time to take a shower, you just take a baby wipe and rub it under your armpits,” Roth told PEOPLE in 2009. Roth said that Pitt told him, “I got six kids. All you’ve got to do is just take them, a couple quick wipes under the pits… I’m getting [peed] on all day. I don’t have time to take a shower.”
A few years later in 2013, Pitt himself admitted, “You don’t always smell so nice with a thousand extras—me included, by the way.” However, recent reports suggest that the A-list actor has refined his approach to personal hygiene, and has even been praised for his scent.
Laura Simpson, an Oscars attendee, once claimed on MySpace that Pitt “smells amazing”. “Like nothing I’ve ever smelled. Eventually we ask what cologne he’s wearing and he tells us, ‘I don’t wear cologne, it’s just my musk I guess.’ I have to choose not to believe him because it would just be unfair to mankind,” she had said at the time.
So although Pitt may have been easy on personal hygiene in his olden days, he seems to have left the old him behind and embraced a refined approach to his hygiene.
