During the Golden Globe Awards, Emma Stone hilariously made a harmless joke about Taylor Swift which was taken by many as an insult, which led to out-of-context comments and interpretations made by fans.
The actress was asked about Swift’s response to her winning the Best Actress award for ‘Poor Things’, as the singer was seen applauding loudly for her friend.
“What an a–hole,” Stone said jokingly, “I’ve known her for almost 20 years. I was very happy she was there and she was also nominated tonight, which was wonderful. And yes, what an a–hole.”

Emma Stone Will NEVER Joke About Taylor Swift Again
The ‘La La Land’ actress seems to be avoiding any mentions of her friend, as she swears that she will never joke about Taylor publicly, again.
In an interview with Variety, the actress said, “I definitely won’t make a joke like that again… because I saw headlines that really pulled it out of context.” She then added, pointing at herself, “What a dope.”
To be honest Emma Stone referring to Taylor Swift as an asshole in jest is a little more left field than the host making an NFL joke. The other thing is that we can reference 100 publications where that NFL joke is not too far off from what people think.
