Evangeline Lily’s Work On Earlier Seasons Of ‘Lost’ Embarrasses Her
‘Lost‘ is a science fiction television series created by Jeffrey Lieber, J. J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof. It became one of the best television shows with the most talked about finale during its six-year run. Evangeline Lilly played a convict named Kate Austen who crash lands on a mysterious island with other survivors.
Years later, Evangeline Lilly talked about the discomfort of her work in the early seasons of ‘Lost’ with Josh Horowitz, saying, “We would have Lost parties where the cast would get together to watch the show, and when it would be a Kate-centric episode, I would want to curl in a hole and die because I knew I was bad. And I still to this day will stand by the fact that I can watch the first couple seasons and I cringe because I’m not very good.”
Things eventually turned for the now Marvel star as she learned more on the set of ‘Lost.’ She added, “I do feel like Season 3 was a turning point, where I went from ‘panicked, figure it out, just shoot from the hip, feel it, go with my gut,’ to ‘I hate this, I don’t want to do this, get me out of here,’ to ‘oh, I guess if I’m here, I’m stuck, and I’m going to stay, I should figure it out. And that was in Season 3, and I started to actually try to learn my craft.“

She later apologized for her remarks.
But in January 2022, Evangeline Lilly posted pictures on social media from an anti-vaccine mandates rally in Washington, D.C. Despite the controversies, Marvel didn’t intrude in her personal life. She also told Josh Horowitz on the ‘Happy Sad Confused‘ podcast that ‘Quantumania‘ director Peyton Reed reassured her of not being fired from Marvel amidst all the rumors.
“They’re very respectful. In fact, I’ve had direct conversations with them that I have instigated and they’ve always said, ‘That’s not our business. That’s not for us to tell you how to live your life or what opinions to have.” said the ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp‘ star to Marvel’s credit.
‘Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania‘ starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly is currently playing in theatres.
