The rumors about David Banda being homeless first gained traction when he hinted at poor living conditions during his Instagram Live. “It’s lovely to experience it being nine o’clock at night, me being hungry and realizing that I don’t have enough money to get food and scavenging. It’s fun to be young,” he said during the Live.

It seems Banda is trying to push his boundaries by stepping out of his luxurious life and being on his own. He earns a living by teaching guitar lessons, thus also focusing more on his music. He charges $200 for his sessions and lives with his girlfriend.

Banda is one of Madonna’s six children. She has two biological children with ex Carlos Leon, son Rocco, 23, with ex-husband Guy Ritchie, and four adopted children. She adopted Banda in 2006 during a humanitarian trip to Malawi.

She later returned to the African nation where she set up a charitable trust and adopted Mercy, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 11.
