Love is budding between the brooding country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and the singer and now fiancé Firerose. The two have confirmed to have gotten engaged. The rumors were floating for quite some time. But, they were cemented when fans spotted the ring in Firerose’s hand. In October 2022, she shared a picture with the ‘Old Town Road’ singer, where she flaunted her bling. But, the two did not confirm their relationship.
The country singer had a tumultuous last marriage with Tish Finley, whom he married in 1993 after welcoming baby Miley Cyrus. It was bumpy and both smooth rides. They filed for a divorce in 2010, but he took the divorce off the table after six months. But, Finley filed for a divorce in 2013, but they announced that they are resorting to marriage counseling. Finally, the two parted ways in 2022 filing for a divorce. Now, Cyrus has seemingly found his “forever” in Firerose. Let’s take a trip down memory lane of their relationship.

Firerose And Billy Ray Cyrus Met On The Sets Of ‘Hannah Montana’
In 2021, the couple released a song together titled ‘New Day’. The song debuted at No.20 on Billboard‘s ‘Adult Contemporary’ chart. Billy called the song an “uplifting anthem promising the dawning of a better age.” The Australian singer and ‘Busy Man’ singer co-wrote the song together. That was their first collaboration. But, Firerose recalled that it was not the first time they met.
When the two appeared to perform at ‘Live with Ryan And Kelly, she said that they first met on the sets of Hannah Montana. It was his dog Tex that made the meeting happen. While Cyrus was taking his dog for a walk. In an interview, Billy told PEOPLE magazine about seeing her for the first time. He recalled, “Firerose came out of the front door. There was almost a moment of, I don’t know, recognition. I was like, ‘This girl’s a star.’ “
Cut to that on ‘Live With Ryan and Kelly’, Firerose said, “We actually met 10 years ago on the set of ‘Hannah Montana,’ and Billy Ray’s been a phenomenal supporter of my music ever since. He’s just really believed in me and continued to tell me to pursue my dreams no matter what and not give up.”

From Rumors To Actual Engagement
In April 2022, Tish and Billy filed for a divorce and confirmed the news to PEOPLE magazine. In the joint statement, they said, “It is after 30 years, five amazing children and a lifetime of memories, we have decided to go our separate ways — not with sadness, but with love in our hearts. We have grown up together, raised a family we can be so proud of, and it is now time to create our own paths.”
The same outlet also announced that the 61-year-old singer and the 23-year-old singer are dating. As per the sources, “They’ve been dating for a little while. They grew closer while working on music together. It is what it is. He and Tish were over before he started dating her.” In August 2022, the two seemingly confirmed their relationship with their Instagram post. Firerose wrote, “The world is a better place with you in it. Happy Birthday Billy❤️”
But, the rumors were going strong when she posted a picture with him in October 2022 with a ring on her finger. But Firerose confirmed the rumors telling the story of her engagement ring and the proposal. Describing the moment, she said, “It was really just this moment where Billy looked at me and said ‘Do you wanna marry me?’ He didn’t get down on one knee or anything. He said, ‘I love you. I wanna make this official. I wanna be with you forever.'”
