Sofia Vergara is opening up about her recent knee surgery, while also showcasing her unapologetic love for her boyfriend, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Justin Saliman. The ‘Modern Family‘ actress took to Instagram Stories to post a picture of her recently operated upon knee and Justin standing by her side.
“If you ever get a major knee surgery make sure you aet a handsome doctor who will sleep with you that night!!!!” she wrote as a caption in the story, adding a “luv u” and some emojis in the end.
Though she soon deleted the picture, it was clear that the actress was trying to publicly appreciate her supportive partner during her recovery. The couple has not yet officially confirmed their relationship, but have been rumored to be dating since October last year.
Sofia Vergara has been spotted with Dr. Justin Saliman multiple times after her divorce from actor Joe Manganiello, finalized in February this year. The couple announced the split in July 2023, after seven years of being married.

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello announced their mutual decision to get divorced through a statement to Page Six. “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives. Sofia and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future,” the statement read.
Later revealing the reasons for her divorce, Sophia revealed that the two had differences of opinion over having children. In an interview earlier this year, she also expressed concerns about the age difference with Joe.
“Well, I’m newly divorced from my second husband [actor Joe Manganiello], who I was with for 10 years. My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom. I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore,” she said during the interview.
Speaking of her career, Sofia continues to shine brightly. From her iconic role as Gloria in ‘Modern Family’, to her role as Griselda Blanco in ‘Griselda’, Sofia has proven to be a versatile actress.
