Glen Powell has absolutely dominated the screens and box office this year, with a collection of hits like Anyone But You, and ‘Twisters‘ the actor has proven to be the next big thing in Hollywood and was even in talks for a Marvel film.

As the rumors ensued, fans got super excited to see Powell in a suit and a part of the MCU, only to be dejected to know that this was far from the truth. Glen Powell revealed why he wouldn’t be working with Marvel anytime soon.

Why Glen Powell Wouldn’t Be Working With Marvel

You won’t be seeing Glen Powell in the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon, as the actor has confirmed, killing rumors of him being a part of the latest Marvel project, much to fans’ dismay.

The actor revealed that he simply has not yet been asked to join any Marvel project, but he is a fan of Marvel films and loved ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’

Speaking to The Playlist, the actor said, “You know I’ve never gotten a call from DC or Marvel. But I’m a fan of everything they do. I just saw ‘Deadpool [& Wolverine’]. I freaking had a blast. I think what Shawn [Levy] and Ryan [Reynolds] did with that is like extraordinary and just such a fun flavor for audiences. And I cheer for them. And I love what [they do].”

Even if he isn’t getting calls from Marvel, Powell still has a packed schedule and you’ll be seeing a lot of him on screen.

Glen Powell will be seen in John Lee Hancock’s film Monsanto. The courtroom drama centers on a case in which Powell’s character, Brent Wisner, a brilliant young attorney, is pitted against a significant American chemical company. In addition to Powell, Laura Dern and, Anthony Mackie also will be a part of the movie.

Edgar Wright’s most recent film, The Running Man, is another project that Powell is working on. The film is a remake of a 1987 film that was based on the well-known Stephen King novel of the same name.

Powell is also getting back with Abrams to work on his upcoming big-budget movie. Given Abrams’ history, many have speculated that the film will be another action movie, even though further details have not yet been released.
