Randolph found herself at the receiving end of criticism that pushed her to respond publicly. “You guys are even more aggressive than Snyder fans, and that’s saying something,” Randolph said in a post on her social media channels. She referenced the online communities that have formed around directors like Gunn and Zack Snyder.
Additionally, she went on to critique the blind devotion of some fans. “James Gunn is not more successful than Zack Snyder at the box office. Look at Batman v Superman and how well 300 did,” she stated, suggesting Gunn was not much better than Snyder and that the hate is unwarranted.

This isn’t the first time Grace Randolph and James Gunn have clashed publicly. Their contentious relationship has often played out on X, where they’ve exchanged jabs over industry leaks, film decisions, and public statements. Gunn once accused Randolph of spreading false information, calling her a “liar” in no uncertain terms.

However, Randolph has also proven adept at turning the tables. In a post, she hinted at a significant change in a DC project, claiming the film had shifted its setting from the Middle East to Eastern Europe. Moreover, this revelation seemed to contradict Gunn’s earlier denial of such changes.
“I hear a certain #DC movie has switched its conflict from the Middle East to Eastern Europe…” Randolph wrote, sending fans into a frenzy. Fans were quick to revisit Gunn’s history of dismissing Randolph’s scoops, accusing him of inconsistency and fueling the feud further.
