Hollywood bid a tearful goodbye to many stars last year. Some of the celebrity deaths came off as quite a shock for fans across the globe. While the industry continues to mourn the death of stars that left us, 2024 has been ruthless as well.
Actor Alec Musser is the most recent addition to the list of these stars. Known for his portrayal of Del Henry on ‘All My Children’ and his stint as the Water Park Stud in the comedy ‘Grown Ups’ died at an early age of 50 on Sunday.
Alec Musser’s Fiancé Paige Press Believes He Died Of COVID-19
Alec Musser’s death was first announced by his fiancée, Paige Press, through Instagram stories on Saturday evening. “RIP to the love of my life,” Press wrote, with photos of the couple. “I will never stop loving you. My heart is broken,” she said in a tribute.
Press did not mention the reason for his death in the initial statement though she had announced earlier that the actor was infected with COVID-19. However, according to Fox News, Paige believes that COVID killed Alec. She also told the news outlet that he was both vaccinated and boosted.
“He was a very healthy person. I mean he took exceptional care of his body and what went into it,” she said. “He’d eat some cookies and that was the worst thing I ever saw him do,” she added.
On the day of his death, Press took to social media to convey her grief. “Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy.” In another post she directly addressed Musser, stating, “You were the best fiancée I could of ever asked for.”
She also spoke to Fox News about the death later. “Alec was a wonderful man. He was the best fiancé. The best dog dad. Very kind-hearted person,” Paige told Fox News.
“Seeing how many messages and people have reached out to me from his childhood. … In the last couple of days, people I’ve never even met, sending me photos from him from high school and when he was in their wedding. … He was so loved and touched by so many people,” she added.

Wishes Pour In For The Actor After Death
The actor was born on April 11, 1973, and gained fame through his role on ‘All My Children’ after triumphing in the SOAPnet reality TV contest ‘I Wanna Be a Soap Star’. In a debut role in 2005, Musser portrayed the character Del Henry for two seasons. That is when his impact on the soap opera industry gained prominence.
Musser’s versatility gained the spotlight in the Adam Sandler comedy ‘Grown Ups, wherein played the role of Water Park Stud. In an iconic scene that is still remembered, Musser’s character charmed a group of wives from afar only to surprise them with his high-pitched voice late.
Condolences poured in from across the industry. Adam Sandler, the co-writer of ‘Grown Ups’, paid tribute to Musser. He described him as “a true great sweetheart of a person.”
“I loved this guy,” Sandler wrote in a post on Instagram. “Cannot believe he is gone. Such a wonderful, funny good man. Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love,” he added to the caption with a photo of Musser.
Throughout his career, Musser largely contributed to the sitcom ‘Rita Rocks’, and the movie ‘Road to the Altar’, and made his mark as Friedrich in the final season of ‘Desperate Housewives’ in 2011. He also ventured into fitness modeling and posed for Men’s Health and Exercise Health, as well as the iconic Abercrombie & Fitch.
