Celebrities may be immensely good at what they do and how they look, but no one is an exception to the naysayers. Like any other actor, Tom Cruise is not immune to criticism. Many critics, who are not as enamored with the superstar, criticize him for everything ranging from his Scientology connections to his divorces.
But as legendary an actor that he is, Tom Crusie is also a good friend to many of his co-stars. That is perhaps the reason why ‘Ted Lasso’ star Hannah Waddingham has come to Tom’s defense. The actress recently slammed the people who criticize her ‘Mission: Impossible 8‘ co-star.

Hannah Waddingham Says Tom Cruise Is The “Loveliest” Human Being
During her recent appearance on ITV’s ‘James Martin’s Saturday Morning’, Hannah Waddingham put out a strong word for people who constantly criticize Tom Cruise. She was loud enough about how great a human being Tom Cruise is as she trashed everything that the naysayers had to say about him.
“I have to say, I have a real problem with anybody that goes at [Tom Cruise] now. Having met him and having spent five days intensely… He is without doubt one of the loveliest and encouraging, positive and inspiring human beings I have ever met,” Hannah said. “Isn’t he gorgeous? I have no time for anyone saying anything about him,” she added.
Though it is confirmed that the actress will be a part of the movie, her role in ‘Mission: Impossible 8 ‘ remains under wraps. Speaking about her role, the actress said she spent five intense days filming a scene on the USS George H.W. Bush fighter carrier with fellow actor Cruise.

Fans To Experience “Intense” Scenes In ‘Mission Impossible 8’
Now fans are quite familiar with Tom Cruise’s affinity for performing daring stunts. So Waddingham’s use of the word “intense” has got people speculating about the level of danger that they may get to experience in the upcoming film.
The movie is set for release on May 23, 2025, almost a year past the film’s initial release date. The film was originally set to be released earlier but got delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA writer and actor strikes.
However, the long wait will also come with compensation. Unlike ‘Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One’, ‘Mission: Impossible 8′ will have a three-week exclusive run in Imax theaters. That’s certainly a reason for Cruise’s fanbase to celebrate.
