Jolie, who was 24 at that time, attended the event with her 26 years old brother Haven. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1999 film, ‘Girl, Interrupted’.
In her acceptance speech, the actress said: “I’m in shock, and I’m so in love with my brother right now,” which was followed by a nervous laugh. She added, “He just held me and said he loved me, and I know he’s so happy for me. And, um, thank you for that.”
