‘House Of The Dragon’ Star Olivia Cooke Talks About The Ending
HBO’s prequel show culminated on Monday with an intense final sequence. Now, fans will have to wait till 2024 for a second season. Olivia Cooke, who portrays Alicent Hightower, recently talked about the show.
In a Variety interview, the ‘Bates Motel‘ actress said the “time-jump and the mid-season reveal of Emma’s and my iterations of Alicent and Rhaenyra” was really hard for her.
She also talked about the comparison between Alicent and Cersei. “They’ll always be compared“, she said. “I do think they’re really different, though, and I limited the amount of wine that I drank in scenes because I didn’t want the comparison to be too transparent.”
Olivia said that both the characters “will do anything for their children.” But I think Alicent is run on anxiety and self-doubt a lot more, and I don’t think Cersei has that at all. She added, “you can see Alicent fraying at the seams the whole time, whereas Cersei is so strong and formidable all the way through.”
