Lily-Rose Depp Reacts To Being Called A ‘Nepo Baby’
In an interview with Elle, she replied on the topic saying, “People are going to have preoccupied ideas about you or how you got there, and I can definitely say that nothing is going to get you the part except for being right for the part. Maybe you get your foot in the door, but you still just have your foot in the door.”
Depp says that she admits to her parent’s fame giving a kickstart to her Hollywood career. However, in a 2019 interview with W Magazine, she mentioned that even if it does help you to get your name out there, it’s still hard as there’s so much pressure on you. She says that the expectations are insanely high.

Who Are Some Other Stars Who Distance Themselves From The Term “Nepo Baby”?
As mentioned in The Cut, Lily Depp isn’t the only one who prefers to distance herself from the term “nepo baby”. The Cut magazine has rather termed it as a statement of fact more than a character judgment. Famous actor Maude Apatow, also isn’t too thrilled with the term. She has said that it rather makes her “sad,” however she will continue to make her career on her own.
Another speaker on the topic includes the famous Willow Smith. As mentioned by her in a Rolling Stone interview, “If you love me, amazing. If you hate me, fantastic. That’s none of my business.”
