Ever since Olivia Munn revealed details of her cancer diagnosis, fans have been flooding social media with well wishes and words of encouragement to the actress for battling the disease and coming out of it healthy and strong as ever.
As the actress made the announcement on social media, she was sure to thank he boyfriend John Mulaney, who she has been with for more than three years. How did she meet Mulaney? And does the couple have any kids?

How Did Olivia Munn Meet John Mulaney?
The couple first met at Seth Meyer’s wedding, and apparently instantly hit it off. Two years later, Munn talked about hanging out with Mulaney and said, “We were at a wedding together, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, do you and your fiancée want to go have dinner or something and go hang out?'”
That was almost a decade earlier, but their relationship didn’t start until 2021, after Mulaney separated from his wife. Olivia attended a few of his shows, and reports of the couple going strong together made the rounds. As their relationship developed into something deeper, the couple announced that they wer expecting their first child in 2021.
Talking about the pregnancy, the comedian said, “I’m gonna be a dad … we’re both really, really happy. You guys saved me from drugs, and Olivia and this baby have helped save me from myself in this early journey out of recovery. And yeah, I don’t have a joke for that. I’m really grateful to you.”
Later on, they revealed that they are now proud parents of a son.
Ever since then, the couple has been going strong, ocassionally going on trips together and celebrating parenthood together. And of course, Mulaney being a huge support for Munn during her time with cancer.

Olivia Munn’s Cancer Diagnosis
Earlier this month, Olivia Munn revealed that she has been having surgeries and has been battling breast cancer in a social media post.
“In the past ten months, I have had four surgeries, so many days spent in bed I can’t even count and have learned more about cancer, cancer treatment and hormones than I ever could have imagined,” she wrote. “Surprisingly, I’ve only cried twice. I guess I haven’t felt like there was time to cry. My focus narrowed and I tabled any emotions that I felt would interfere with my ability to stay clearheaded.”
She also thanked Mulaney in the post and wrote, “I’m so thankful to John for the nights he spent researching what every operation and mediation meant and what side effects and recovery I could expect. For being there before I went into each surgery and being there when I woke up, always placing framed photos of our little boy Malcolm so it would be the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes.”
Adding a caption to the post, she wrote, “I hope by sharing this it will help others find comfort, inspiration, and support on their own journey.”
