Johnny Depp is famously for being an actor, but what many don’t know is that he is also an art lover, who sings, plays guitar, and also paints. His hobbies include collecting portraits and paintings. Moreover, he is specifically known for favoring oil paintings. Recently, he also sold his own created art collection featuring Hollywood stars and rock icons Bob Dylan, Elizabeth Taylor, Al Pacino, and Keith Richards. The artworks were sold for £3 million at a UK art gallery.
Depp’s love for paintings and collection has brought to light a naked portrait of Kate Middleton, which he bought quite some time back. He was also married to Amber Heard at that time. The artwork was purchased at a whopping price.

Johnny Depp Owns The Nude Painting Of Pregnant Kate Middleton
Johnny Depp has always shown a deep interest in the artworks of a street artist who goes by the name of Pegasus. He is best known for his work inspired by pop cultural icons, exhibited at different street locations. In 2014, Pegasus had his own art exhibition in Islington. It had the naked painting of the Duchess of Cambridge, the wife of Prince William. The painting was made when Kate was pregnant with Princess Charlotte, and that was probably the inspiration behind the painting.
In the painting that Depp bought, Kate is seen sans clothes on and has a baby bump on which is seating a crown along with the subtitle, “Game of Thrones“. Another thing to note is that no one knows if Pegasus asked Kate permission to paint her naked. Prince William’s wife obviously didn’t pose for the painting.

How Much Money Did Depp Pay For The Painting?
Johnny Depp paid an exorbitant sum of $25,000 for the nude painting of the Duchess. He also commissioned Pegasus to make another similar painting, which he wanted to be titled ‘Crowned’ and feature a crown lying on her bare bump.
According to Huffington Post, Pegasus’ manager, Leonard Villa, knew that Depp would visit the studio and buy the Kate Middleton artwork. “I knew Johnny was coming and wanted the two Kate Middleton works. He was extremely charming and immediately bought the painting and put down an offer for the second one,” said Leonard Villa.
The ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean‘ star also purchased a $25,000 painting of Queen Elizabeth. Depp’s purchase at the gallery was the most expensive deal for Pegasus.
