Taylor Swift‘s latest album ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘ has been the talk of the town ever since its release. While the anticipation around the album was high even before its release, many had predicted that the album would be about her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. However, what came as a surprise was a few of her new tracks directed at another one of her ex-boyfriends Matty Healy.
The 1975 frontman dated Taylor Swift for about a month and then parted ways. Reports suggest that the fallout was ugly, even though none of them ever made the relationship public. The breakup was also very private, and perhaps that is why, Swifties were not expecting Taylor to write songs about Healy. However, despite some sharp attacks launched at Healy in the songs, the singer seems to be unfazed. Here’s what he said about Taylor’s songs about him.

“I’m Sure It’s Good”: Matty Healy Gives A Shady Answer To Taylor Swift’s Diss Tracks
Matty Healy has indicated that he is mostly ignorant of any references made to him in Taylor Swift’s latest album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. In a recent paparazzi video, Healy was asked about Swift’s album which many fans have speculated may contain lyrics indicative of their short-lived romance last year.
Responding to a question about the possibility of some of Taylor’s songs being diss tracks about him, Healy said he has not heard any of them. Clad in a hoodie, Healy was asked by a cameraman, “How would you rate your Taylor diss track compared to the 30 others?” In response, Healy chuckled and said, “I haven’t really listened to that much of it. But I’m sure it’s good.”
Matty Healy had a rumored romance with Taylor Swift days after she broke up with Joe Alwyn. Though they never went public with their one-month-long fling, many hints in Taylor’s songs have convinced her fans that some of her songs are about Healy.
Just a couple of days ago, Healy’s aunt also commented on Taylor’s song — except, she seemingly heard them with quite a lot of attention. Healy’s aunt claimed that Taylor is not telling the full story of what happened between her and Healy during their relationship. “We know a bit more about what went on,” she told Page Six a few days back.

Taylor Swift’s Fans Are Convinced Some Of Her Latest Songs Are About Matty Healy
The rumored romance between Matty Healy and Taylor Swift lasted only for about a month. The two were often found hanging out together in New York City and at recording studios. They also attended some ‘The 1975’ concerts together, which laid a breeding ground for rumors about their dating.
Swift’s album sparked theories among fans who picked on certain clues and concluded that songs like ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived‘ and ‘But Daddy I Love Him!’ reference Healy and their brief fling. Details including mentions of tattoos, Healy’s signature black suit that he wears during his performances, and some of his favorite bands are the clues that Swifties have dissected and attributed the songs to Healy.
Besides, the title track of the album ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘ also allegedly points at Healy who had a penchant for poetic things including typewriters, which have also been mentioned in Taylor’s songs. In fact, an old video of Healy gushing over typewriters and pop stars also resurfaced on social media after the release of Swift’s song.
