Taylor Swift‘s fanbase is expanding by the day as the pop sensation is making headlines for her potential influence on literally everything that matters in America. While the songstress already had an army of ardent fans called ‘Swifties’, her romantic partnership with football star Travis Kelce has significantly added to her fanbase as well as his.
In another significant addition to the list of her fans, basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal has showered his admiration for the pop superstar. The legend took the chance of doing so at his annual Super Bowl party, Shaq’s Fun House, in Las Vegas ahead of the big game night.
Shaquille O’Neal Says Taylor Swift Is A “Fabulous Person” And A “Cultural Icon”
Shaquille O’Neal was speaking during an exclusive red carpet interview with Page Six at XS in the Wynn hotel, when he revealed his desire to meet Swift. “If I see Taylor Swift and get to shake her hand, take a picture, I’ll be good,” the 51-year-old NBA icon said.
O’Neal admitted that he went on Google to check if he had ever crossed paths with the 34-year-old singer as he frequently encounters celebrities. But he was disappointed to find out that their paths haven’t crossed yet.
Describing Swift as a “fabulous person” and a “cultural icon,” O’Neal said, “I just want to shake the hand of greatness.” Earlier this week, the “Inside the NBA” host shared he was hoping to snag a seat close to Swift at Allegiant Stadium on Super Bowl Sunday.
Earlier in the week, O’Neal had also stated his wish to be seated close to Swift at Allegiant Stadium on Super Bowl Sunday. “I hope I’m sitting in the suite next to Taylor Swift,“ he told TMZ Sports.

Will O’Neal Be Seated Next To Taylor At The Super Bowl?
While the exact seating arrangements for O’Neal at the Super Bowl are not known, Page Six confirmed that Swift will have her private box at the Super Bowl.
Though he praised Swift openly, O’Neal jokingly sidestepped the question when asked about the team he would be rooting for during the Super Bowl. Instead of naming one of the two competing teams, he said his support is for the Dallas Cowboys — a team that has not qualified for the NFL championship game.
Other than O’Neal, Kansas City Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt also shared her excitement for Super Bowl Sunday and her wish to meet Taylor Swift. “I hope to cross paths with her on Sunday, but it’s going to be total chaos for everybody,” the former Miss Kansas USA winner said. “We’re all super excited for Super Bowl Sunday.”
As speculation swirls around the Super Bowl win, fans are now also eagerly waiting to see if O’Neal’s wish to meet Taylor Swift will come true at Shaq’s Fun House.
