Elon Musk is arguably one of the most successful and equally controversial public figures of our era. The tech mogul is known for many things other than his technological genius, including his problematic political views and a rather misogynistic approach towards even the women he calls his partners. Among the many things about which Musk has openly expressed his problematic views are transgender people.
Ironically, his own child Xavier came out as transgender at the age of 18. Now 20-year-old, his transgender daughter identifies as Vivian Jenna Wilson, and is no longer a part of Musk’s family. In fact, in a recent interview, he said she is “figuratively dead” for him. Adding to the family drama, Vivian has now spoken up. Here’s what she said about her father and his problematic views.

Elon Musk’s 20-year-old daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, has spoken out in response to her father’s recent comments wherein he claimed during a chat with Jordan Peterson on July 22 that his daughter was “killed by the woke mind virus.”
The SpaceX CEO claimed that he was “tricked” into consenting to Wilson’s transgender-related medical treatment when she was 16. “I lost my son, essentially. They call it ‘deadnaming’ for a reason,” he said.
Wilson has legally gotten her name and gender changed in 2022 at the age of 18. Living her life separately now, she sat for an interview with NBC News to refute her father’s recent claims, calling them a “lie.”
“I think he was under the assumption that I wasn’t going to say anything and I would just let this go unchallenged, which I’m not going to do,” she said. “Which I’m not going to do, because if you’re going to lie about me, like, blatantly to an audience of millions, I’m not just gonna let that slide,” she added.
Wilson claimed that Musk was “fully aware” of the side effects of her medical treatment, which included puberty blockers and hormone replacement therapy.

Vivian Wilson Recalls Her Father Elon Musk Being Ignorant And Contemptuous About Her Queerness
Vivian Musk claimed that she has always had a complicated relationship with her father Elon Musk, especially after she came out as gay in eighth grade. Reflecting on their relationship, she revealed that they haven’t spoken in about four years. “He was there maybe 10% of the time,” she said, adding that Musk was largely absent from her life though he had her half custody after divorce from Vivian’s mother.
Other than speaking up against him during the interview, Vivian also took to social media platform Threads to respond to Musk’s tweet wherein he described her as “gay and slightly autistic” while young, calling his recollection “entirely fake“.

“This entire thing is completely made up and there’s a reason for this. He doesn’t know what I was like as a child because he quite simply wasn’t there, and in the little time that he was I was relentlessly harassed for my femininity and queerness,” she wrote as part of a lengthy response.
“Obviously he can’t say that, so I’ve been reduced to a happy little stereotype f*g-ing along to use at his discretion. I think that says alot about how he views queer people and children in general,” she added.
Vivian is one of six children Musk shares with his ex-wife, Justine Wilson. He also has three children with singer Grimes and three more with Shivon Zilis.
