One of the biggest boy bands that ruled the music industry was undoubtedly One Direction until they broke up. However, it still has a big fan following even though the members have established their solo careers. Now, an ex-member of One Direction, Liam Payne, has apologized publicly for some of his statements against the band.

What Did Liam Payne Say?
The ‘Strip That Down‘ singer went on to Logan Paul’s controversial podcast where he made some very disturbing comments about his ex-bandmates. He took jabs at almost everyone- Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Payne also claimed on the podcast that he was the most talented member of One Direction.
However, the 29-year-old singer also posted a YouTube video online to publicly apologize for his comments. Payne said in the video, “A lot of what I said came from the wrong place. I was so angry at what was going on around me, and instead of taking a look inwards, I decided to look outwards at everybody else. And I just think, yeah, I took it out on everybody else, which is just wrong, really.“

Liam Payne Apologizes For His Mistake
After the podcast, Payne received a lot of backlash and this made him realize his mistake. He went to rehab to become better. “My own frustrations with my own career and where I kind of landed, I took shots at everybody else, which is wrong, so obviously I want to apologize for that in the first instance, because that’s definitely not me,” the singer confessed in his video.
Liam also talked about how the other boys stood by him at the time he needed them the most. He added how even Zayn Malik came to the rescue when Liam Payne needed him and said that he had sent him “a little thank you online.” Payne also confessed saying, “The whole thing up to that point was just a scramble to stay relevant.”
