Shakira Talks About Her Split With Gerard Pique
Shakira and Gerard Pique were once considered a power couple. They shared two sons together and survived all the hardships for 11 years until Pique was caught cheating on her.
On Wednesday, the 46-year-old singer gave an interview to Enrique Acevedo of Canal Estrellas to talk about her split. “I’ve always been very emotionally dependent, I have to confess this. I was in love with love,” she said.
She further added, “One way or another, I’ve managed to learn it from another perspective and feel that I’ll be fine on my own“. The singer then said that a woman “comes out stronger” when she has to face hardships in her life. She said that after such experiences, one learns “to recognize your weaknesses and accept your vulnerability.”

Pique Cheated On Her With Clara Chia Marti
The ‘Whenever Whenever‘ singer said that she is “on the way the way up” and has “managed to feel that I am enough” which she “never thought would happen.”
“I feel complete — because I feel like I can depend on myself and I have two kids who depend on me,” she said. She shares two sons Sasha and Milan with Piqué. Last year, she found out Gerard was cheating on him with a PR student named Clara Chia Marti.
Since then, the Spanish soccer player has gone public with his relationship and the singer has written songs about him. Recently, it was reported that Pique and Clara were kicked out of a Barcelona restaurant because the owner was a fan of Shakira.
