One of the most revered filmmakers of our time, Quentin Tarantino, has worked across genres. However, the signature style of the director is to make pulpy and gangster thrillers. The director has also dabbled in World War II space with ‘Inglorious Bastards’. With his 10th feature film being the last, the director is eyeing casting Brad Pitt for the role in ‘The Movie Critic’.
Brad Pitt first starred in the Quentin Tarantino film ‘Inglourious Basterds’. He played Lieutenant Aldo Raine, who played the leader of the Allied soldiers. The very recent film that he starred in was ‘Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood’. For the role, he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Role. Quentin Tarantino May Cast Brad Pitt For The Titular Role In ‘The Movie Critic’
For his last feature film, Quentin Tarantino has decided on another quirky topic, and this time, he will be exploring the life of a movie critic working at a porno rag. The pre-production of the film started in June 2023. The film is inspired by Tarantino’s job of stacking porno magazines when he was a teenager. During that time, he found a film critic very interesting.
Now, Quentin Tarantino has started the search for the cast of the film. As per Deadline, Tarantino will cast Brad Pitt in the third feature with him. It is not clear whether Brad will be playing the titular character, as the director is looking for someone “in the 35-year-old ballpark.” However, the source has said that most certainly it will be Pitt.

The Director Declared Him The Last Remaining Movie Star
During the promotional interviews for ‘Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood’, Quentin Tarantino gushed about Brad Pitt and called him the last remaining big-screen movie star. In an interview with GQ, Tarantino said that making a film with Brad is like watching a movie.
Quentin Tarantino said, “I noticed it when we were doing Inglourious Basterds. When Brad was in the shot, I didn’t feel like I was looking through the viewfinder of the camera. I felt like I was watching a movie. Just his presence in the four walls of the frame created that impression.”
The ‘Pulp Fiction’ director said Brad Pitt is “one of the last remaining big-screen movie stars. He suggests an older-style movie star.” He continued, saying, “It’s just different breed of man. And frankly, I don’t think you can describe exactly what that is because it’s like describing starshine.”
