The Academy Award-winning actress has always been vocal about abortion rights and the pay gap in the film industry. She recently did a tell-all cover story for Vogue.
Lawrence said that actors are overpaid, but that doesn’t make the pay gap less wrong. She said, “It doesn’t matter how much I do. I’m still not going to get paid as much as that guy, because of my vagina?”
In 2021, reports suggest that she earned $5 million less than Leonardo DiCaprio for the black comedy film ‘Don’t Look Up‘. This was despite having an equal length role as him.
Earlier, actresses like Meryl Streep, Bryce Dallas Howard, Patricia Arquette, Octavia Spencer, and Jessica Chastain have talked about the pay gap in the industry.

Jennifer Lawrence Talks About Pregnancy And Miscarriage
JLaw is married to an art gallery director Cooke Maroney and the two share a son, Cy whom she gave birth to in February this year.
She talked about her pregnancy and miscarriages in the same interview. In her early 20s, she “had a miscarriage alone in Montreal” before she could get an abortion. She suffered a second miscarriage while filming ‘Don’t Look Up‘.
“I remember a million times thinking about it while I was pregnant,” Lawrence said, referring to Roe v. Wade being overturned. “Thinking about the things that were happening to my body. And I had a great pregnancy.”
She continued, “I had a very fortunate pregnancy. But every single second of my life was different. And it would occur to me sometimes: What if I was forced to do this?” The actress also talked about a rift with her conservative father over politics.
