The Academy Award-winning actress has always been vocal about abortion rights and the pay gap in the film industry. She recently did a tell-all cover story for Vogue.

Lawrence said that actors are overpaid, but that doesn’t make the pay gap less wrong. She said, “It doesn’t matter how much I do. I’m still not going to get paid as much as that guy, because of my vagina?

In 2021, reports suggest that she earned $5 million less than Leonardo DiCaprio for the black comedy film ‘Don’t Look Up‘. This was despite having an equal length role as him.

Earlier, actresses like Meryl Streep, Bryce Dallas Howard, Patricia Arquette, Octavia Spencer, and Jessica Chastain have talked about the pay gap in the industry.
