‘House of the Dragon‘ has become a really successful show for HBO, surpassing expectations. It is set around 200 years before the events on ‘Game of Thrones‘ and chronicles the downfall of House Targaryen. The show has introduced several characters, one of which is played by Emily Carey.
In an interview, the 19-year-old English actress talked about her experience shooting the sex scenes as well as her appearance in the second season. She has portrayed the role of Lady Alicent Hightower, who marries King Viserys. It has been reported that Emily will soon be replaced along with other young actors.

Emily Carey Teases On Whether She Will Appear In The Second Season
Emily Carey has gracefully portrayed Alicent Hightower in the fantasy series ‘House of the Dragon.’ The actress will be, along with others, replaced in the upcoming episodes.
In an interview with Newsweek, the ‘Wonder Woman‘ actress said: “It’s been spoken about, conversations have happened, but, in all honesty, I know absolutely nothing and I have no idea.” She continued, “Of course, I would love to come back. It depends on how it’s received and where they want to take the show next. I’m just going with the flow!”
Emily will be soon replaced by Olivia Cooke. She talked about the similarities and differences between the two. “But the main thing was, watching her work, our acting styles are actually very similar, which is something I think [showrunners Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik] had clocked,” Carey says.
The actress further said: “The main thing they were looking for was just that we could make the same choices and perform the same character. But it was certainly intimidating because I admire Olivia as an actor and a person, so I was just excited to be in the mix for it.”

Emily Talks About Why Filming Sex Scene “Scared” Her
Emily also talked that the show’s intimate scenes “scared” her, but the intimacy coordinator really helped her. “Still being 17 [when cast], the first scene that I read from the show was my sex scene and my intimacy scenes, that includes the scene where I’m bathing the king“, she said.
“In the rehearsal room, [the coordinator] was a massive help and on-set she was a massive help. Yeah, it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.”
Emily shares a strong bond with co-star Milly Alcock both on and off the screen. She said, “You need to see a significant amount of how Milly and I interact to actually find that journey.”
She added, “You see also see their relationships with the people around them and the world, and it all contributes to this journey of seeing how they become the women that people love — or hate — depending on your personal opinion.”
