All About The Gigantic Earthworm
The 49-year-old supermodel wriggled into the red carpet for Klum’s Halloween party as a gigantic earthworm. It was only Heidi’s mouth and eyes that could be seen through the ringed sarcophagus costume. Her husband, Tom Kaulitz dressed up as the fisherman who hooked her. In addition to the couple, their daughter Leni Klum also joined the Halloween bash.
The costume had taken months to be made into what it was seen on the day of Halloween. It was Klum herself and Mike Marino, owner of Prosthetic Renaissance, the special effects company that produced Halloween looks for many that made the costume. Marino had sketched out the human-sized wormed along with Paul Komodo. Jerry Constantine scanned the model’s body and created the 3D worm model to be wrapped around her. A veteran puppet and creature suit maker built the worm prototype out of foam fabrication.

“Dancing As A Worm”: Heidi Klum Talks About Her Costume
There were so many ideas that passed through Heidi’s mind for her Halloween costume. Her favorite one was to be a tree, hiding herself behind the branches. “It can’t be comical. It needs to look like a real one,” said the model as to why she rejected the idea of a worm from outer space.
Klum was in her earthworm costume for three hours, during that time she even danced. Along with the costume, there was also paint and slime applied to her face and body. This made it difficult for people to touch her. However, Heidi became the talk of the town through this fantastic costume. And she is excitedly waiting to do something more challenging next Halloween.
