Child Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Against Tiffany Haddish Is Dropped
Haddish has had her run-in with controversies in her career. Earlier this year, the comedian supported Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock at the Oscar ceremony.
Earlier a child sexual abuse lawsuit was filed against her and comedian Aries Spears for a sketch they did a while ago. According to a Variety report, the lawsuit has been dismissed.
The female plaintiff has requested that a judge dismiss the case with prejudice, which means that the lawsuit cannot be filed again, per court documents.
In a statement, the plaintiff said, “My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years – and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us. We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us.”
Tiffany had responded to the lawsuit, “I know people have a bunch of questions. I get it. I’m right there with you”. She stated that the sketch in question “was intended to be comedic, it wasn’t funny at all — and I deeply regret having agreed to act in it.”

What Was The Sketch?
Aries Spears and Haddish had done a sketch titled ‘Through a Pedophile’s Eyes.’ The video was originally published on the Funny or Die channel but was removed in 2018.
In the sketch, Spears’ character plays a pedophile lusting after John Doe, who was 7 years old at the time. Haddish plays his mother, who leaves him with the man.
Reports state, “John [Doe] spends most of the video clad only in his underwear as Spears’ character leers at him through two holes cut into a newspaper he pretends to read.”
The camera zooms in suggestively on the boy’s buttocks and crotch area while he plays during the sketch. Spears sprays baby oil on his back and massages it into his shoulders. There are also phallic masturbation suggestions in the sketch.
