“We have six f**king minutes. We have 30 seconds of a song, and if we take a minute, that’s it, we’ve got five left. But, there’s got to be certain songs that we sing, though. We have to have our singing moments. It’s not going to be a dance f**king revue. We have to sing our message,” Lopez tells her music director at one point.
“Having two individuals perform the Super Bowl is the worst idea in the world,” she said. adding that “it was the absolute worst idea ever”.
Also chiming in with the star, her manager Medina highlighted that there has always been one headliner who produced the show, and they had the option of bringing in more guests.
Medina also considered it an insult that the event wanted two Latinas as the headliner. It took a while, but Lopez and Shakira were able to work together in the end, but it was a difficult one.Read More: Jennifer Lopez Tears Up, Adorably Mentions Fiancé Ben Affleck In Her Acceptance Speech At MTV AwardsRead More: Half-Time: Jennifer Lopez Looks Back At Her Journey In New Netflix Documentary
