Jo Koy Can’t Catch A Break As Ken Jeong And Joel McHale Shade His Golden Globes Jokes On Emmys Stage

Jo Koy‘s Golden Globes speech managed to enrage an entire audience- thanks to his misogynistic jokes. Koy’s jokes on Taylor Swift, Margot Robbie and the ‘Barbie‘ movie irked everyone in the audience and on social media as he got called out for using women as punchlines to a set of terrible jokes.

As an aftermath, of course, the awards season continues with a bunch of other hosts and comedians taking the stage and mocking Koy’s monologue. This time, Ken Jeong And Joel McHale shaded Jo Koy’s monologue on the Emmy stage.

During the 2024 Golden Globes 2024, comedian Jo Koy hosted the event and started off with a monologue that didn’t sit well with the audience, and fans all over the world.

Taking a jab at Taylor Swift, Koy said, “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? On the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift.” Ironically, the camera then cuts to a shot of Swift, glaring at him and sipping wine.

In another line, Koy described ‘Barbie’ as a film “on a plastic doll with big boobies.” He added, “The key moment in Barbie is when she goes from perfect beauty to bad breath, cellulite, and flat feet — or what casting directors call ‘character actor.'”

Defending his unfunny jokes and the audience’s lukewarm reaction to his jokes he then said, “Some I wrote, some other people wrote. Yo, I got the gig 10 days ago! You want a perfect monologue? Yo, shut up! You’re kidding me, right? Slow down. I wrote some of these, and they’re the ones you’re laughing at.”

His comments sent social media users into a debate on misogyny and how women are still used as punchlines to jokes by comedians. Naturally, Koy continues to get trolled by users on social media and other hosts and comedians alike.

While the two actors got on stage to present the award for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program, they took a swing at Jo Koy’s monologue.

Joel talked about former doctor Ken leaving his medical career to pursue one in acting and that he killed a patient and was still facing a lawsuit over it.

Ken then said, “The instruments that almost killed that dude were the ones the nurses left in, OK?. The ones that saved his life are the ones I left in. And besides, I only had the gig for 10 days at that point.”

Fans on social media applauded Jeong for the subtle kick at Koy, who continues to face the heat for his monologue on various platforms of social media.
