John Cena, a 46-year-old actor and former wrestler, has been entertaining people for a very long time. The classic saying “You can’t see me” is well-known to all of us. Hollywood is a difficult place to work in, especially for humorous actors who must put in extra effort and may even go to “any extent” in order to make their audience laugh, which may also be embarrassing.
In a recent interview, Cena talked about his character Rod, a “rock-hard” celebrity impersonator in the comedy movie ‘Ricky Stanicky‘. He had to make some “bold” decisions and Cena sort of pushed his boundaries to get the script’s requirements right.
John Cena Talks About Embarrassing Himself For Laughs On Screen
Along with Zac Efron, Jermaine Fowler, Andrew Santino, and William H. Marcy, Cena stars in ‘Ricky Stanicky‘. In an interview with People for the film, Cena described the “bold choices” that a struggling actor must make to stay relevant in the business.
Fortunately, though, his director Peter Farrelly—who is best known for comedies like ‘Dumb and Dumber‘ has a way of helping actors deal with “uncomfortable situations.” Cena said, “Sometimes, confidence and silly courage is all you need.”
“You have to do those embarrassing moments on screen where you’re asked to give of yourself and be vulnerable — whether it’s dressed as a merman, whether it’s in your tighty whities or in a Britney Spears outfit — you’ve got to wholeheartedly commit,” he added.

John Cena’s Wrestling Days Made Him The Man He Is
John Cena is always ready to try new things. He made a career change to Hollywood since his 2002 WWE debut. He garnered a lot of fans. The humility with which he takes on roles comes from him being comfortable in his own skin, something he learnt as a wrestler.
He further explained, “I come from a world where guys go out in their underwear, throw oil all over themselves and talk trash to each other. That in itself is ridiculous. But because we commit and we are authentically representing the characters we try to build, it brings you to the edge of your seat.”
Cena loves what he does in his career, and concluded, “I genuinely love it, and I try to be better than I was yesterday. That’s how I approached wrestling, and that yield really showed.”
