Jonathan Bailey, mostly known for his role in ‘Bridgerton‘, sneaked in a curious answer to a question most fans would often have had regarding actors and their intimate scenes. The actor spoke about how he chose the perfect prosthetic penis for himself.

“There are these beautiful sex scenes throughout,” JonathanĀ saidĀ onĀ Late Night With Seth Meyers, “which are so important.” He then added, “There’s so many things that change with Tim, the character that I play his. There’s one thing that remained the same throughout.”

The actor continued, ā€œWhen we started, obviously, you wear a protective layer, obviously, to protect yourself and so itā€™s not awkward. But, for the nature of the show, you want to do something that maybe reflects whatā€™s actually going on. Theyā€™ve all got their different personalities. When youā€™re approaching character you think emotionally, cerebrally, and then you have to really make a big choice.ā€

In a surprising turn of events, his wardrobe assistant Beth left him a unique underwear gift that rendered him speechless. His protective layer was now sporting a quirky upgrade – two googly eyes and prosthetic penis as its nose. He added that the underwear was representing how he was feeling inside, and hence he made the final choice.

Fellow Travellers‘ received widespread acclaim for its exceptional acting performances and emotionally charged storyline. The eight-episode miniseries also garnered attention for its provocative and intense intimate moments. With its bold and unapologetic approach, the show fearlessly delved into the diverse realms of homosexuality. From oral sex to threesomes, it left no stone unturned in its exploration.

In an interview with The Guardian, Bailey discussed Fellow Travellers and the significance of the passionate sex scenes in the narrative.

ā€œIf youā€™re going to explore the oppression ā€“ and these people lost their lives, their jobs, their families ā€“ then the other side of that is the extreme need for connection, but also the celebration of the sexual act that supposedly deems them ‘unacceptable,'” he explained.

I always think about the scene where Matt Bomer takes a polygraph test. Itā€™s so aggressively shot and so intimate, so why wouldnā€™t you match that in terms of the way youā€™re telling their love story? Itā€™d be weird not to give the full experience,ā€ he added.
