Kevin Spacey has a window of relief in one of many cases where men have accused him of sexual misconduct. The case where he was not found guilty was that of Anthony Rapp. The ‘Do You Take This Man’ actor voiced out the horrifying 1986 incident of sexually inappropriate behavior in 2017. In 2020, he filed a case against Spacey. The trials began in 2022 and in the strenuous three weeks of trial Spacey was not found guilty.
The actor came under fire when at the peak of the #MeToo movement, many men including Hollywood actors accused him of sexual misconduct. Many actors and others accused him of pedophilia. Before Rapp’s trial, some accusers have dropped charges, but the actor is not free from the allegations. Anthony Rapp Accused Kevin Spacey
The actor is one of the most versatile artists in the industry. You have seen him in roles as varied as a priest in ’13 Reasons Why’ and Paul Stamets in ‘Star Trek: Discovery’. Anthony Rapp has been vocal about his sexuality and identifies himself as a gay man. In 2017, Rapp alleged Kevin Spacey of making sexual advances in 1986 when he was 14 years old. During the trial, Anthony recounted the incident when Spacey called him to his place.
When all the guests left, the actor took Rapp into his room, put him on the bed, and “partially laid on him” before Anthony saved himself. After the ‘Dazed And Confused’ actor made the allegations, Spacey came out as gay and apologized for his behavior. During his now-settled trial, Kevin said, “I’ve learned a lesson, which is never apologize for something you didn’t do.”
Harry Dreyfuss Came Out With His Story
In November 2017, another actor came forward with his experience with the “sexual predator” Kevin Spacey. Harry Dreyfuss is the son of the Oscar-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss. In an article for BuzzFeed, Dreyfuss narrated the incident situation by situation. He accused him of groping him inappropriately. In 2008, when Harry was 18 years old he went with his father for a play reading at Spacey’s apartment.
When the three sat down to read the lines, Kevin placed his hand on Dreyfuss’ thighs which alarmed him. He tried changing his sitting position twice, but Spacey followed him both times. Lastly, he sat near him going “centimeter by centimeter” closer from thighs to his crotch. However, Spacey’s lawyers denied the allegations on his behalf.
Kris Nixon Accused Kevin Spacey Of Sexually Inappropriate Behavior
The year 2017 led to many confessions from the victims who fell prey to Kevin Spacey’s predatory behavior. Along with famous actors, common men also came forward accusing the ‘House Of Cards’ actor of sexually inappropriate behavior. In 2017, a bartender from Belfast, Northern Ireland came forward to share two instances of Spacey’s creepy behavior. First, in 2007, Nixon was invited to his apartment in London for a party. Kris, then 20, attended the party with his girlfriend. When his girlfriend went to get them a drink, Spacey sat next to him and grabbed his “d**k over his trousers” unannounced and without consent.
Kris was caught off-guard and when he was scanning for his girlfriend, Kevin said, “I could blow you better than she could.” He immediately went to her and told her that they needed to leave. Secondly, Spacey came to his bar with the theater troupe after the practice at Old Vic. He followed Nixon into a storeroom, grabbed him again inappropriately, and said, “I can make it up”. Consequently, Nixon told him to “f**k off.”
Roberto Cavazos Is Also On The List
The Mexican actor came out with his story of “unpleasant encounters” with Kevin Spacey in 2017. Cavazos, before becoming an actor, starred in several productions of Old Vic theater of which Spacey was the artistic director for 12 years. In 2008, Roberto was working in a production at the theater where he met Spacey. In a Facebook post, the actor accused him of touching inappropriately.
The ‘Narcos: Mexico’ actor said, “There are many of us who have a ‘Kevin Spacey story’. It seems like you only needed to be a man under 30 for him to feel free to touch us. It was so common that it turned into a (very bad) joke amongst us.” In the post, he recalled a common incident that happened with many people. “I can’t recall how many people told me the same story: Spacey would ask them to meet to ‘talk about their career.’ When they got to the theater, he had a beautifully lit picnic ready on stage with champagne.” Luckily, the actor evaded the situation but recalled many who couldn’t due to sheer fear.
Tony Montana Had An Unpleasant Encounter With Spacey
You may know the Colombian director for his cult classic ‘Overnight’. The filmmaker too came forward to share an incident that included Kevin Spacey groping. In an interview, Tony narrated the 2003 incident which gave him PTSD. He recalled that when he went to a bar to grab a drink, Kevin placed his arm on his shoulder. Montana told the outlet. “He was telling me to come with him, to leave the bar. He put his hand on my crotch forcefully and grabbed my whole package.”
The actor said, “This designates ownership”. Montana removed the hand and headed to the washroom, but Spacey allegedly followed him. Tony tried to push drunk Kevin away. “I backed him out the door and I pushed him. One of his friends was in line and I said, ‘It’s time to take your boy home.’ They all ended up leaving.”
