Kristen Wiig and Jon Ham are poles apart, with the former having a penchant for an awkward, foot-in-mouth comedy, while Hamm is celebrated for his dramatic roles. Though they have ample differences, the two make quite an entertaining pair on screen.
As the ‘Bridesmaids‘ co-actors reunited for Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’ series, they reminisced about their time on ‘Saturday Night Live (SNL)’. Here’s what they said while recalling a hilarious incident when they were stripped by stagehands for quick costume changes.
Kristen Wiig And Jon Ham Reunite For Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’ Series
During his reunion with Kristen Wing, Jon Hamm recalled his former co-star warning him to “be ready” before their clothes were yanked off. The actor called it one of the fun aspects of ‘SNL’.
Wiig was part of the ‘SNL’ cast from 2005 to 2012 and still cherished the backstage moments. Describing the speedy changes between sketches as “a beautifully orchestrated chaos,” the actor remembered his good old days quite fondly.
Meanwhile, Hamm made his 17th cameo on SNL on May 18. The episode was hosted by Jake Gyllenhaal with musical guest Sabrina Carpenter. Sharing his nostalgia, the actor also recalled his collaboration with Wigg in the film ‘Bridesmaids’, which Wiig co-wrote and starred in.
While Wigg played Annie Walker, Hamm played Ted, her egotistical and self-absorbed fling in the film. Wiig earned multiple award nominations for her role in ‘Bridesmaids‘, and the film was greatly acclaimed across the world.
