The feud between Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun isn’t ending anytime soon, it seems. Even though he retired earlier this year, the music mogul is at it again as he’s hilariously trolling Taylor Swift in a new interview.
Taylor and Scooter’s enmity go way back to when the music manager purchased Swift’s masters without consulting her, which further led to her having to re-release all her albums. Since then, the feud has been fiery and Swift has often referenced the incident in various songs. Here’s what Scooter is saying about Taylor now.
Scooter Braun Makes A Joke About Taylor Swift
Earlier this year, it was announced that a docuseries about Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun’s master dispute was in the works. The elaborate series focused on the dynamics of the music industry, using their dispute as an example of power dynamics and music rights. However, the series isn’t related to Taylor’s team and she has not endorsed it in any way.
Scooter Braun, who has recently retired as music manager, after managing artists like Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande, took to Instagram to share a screenshot of the docuseries on his story, while writing that he has finally watched it.
He also posted a screenshot of a news piece that talked about Taylor and Travis Kelce throwing Blake Lively a birthday bash. In the caption of the post, he wrote “How was I not invited to this,” adding a small text below that says “#laughalittle”
Scooter Braun says he finally watched documentary on Taylor Swift masters and questions why he wasn’t invited to a recent party she threw in new Instagram stories:

Many fans saw this as damage control on Scooter’s part who’s possibly trying to make amends or extend an olive branch towards Swift.

Taylor Swift And Scooter Braun’s Masters Dispute
In 2019, Scooter Braun purchased the rights to all of Taylor Swift’s first six albums, a decision, that as Swift said, was not taken after consulting her. Scooter, however, maintained that Swift was well aware of the purchase.
This led to Taylor re-recording all her albums and changing her label. She has also made public statements about the feud, as has Scooter. As of now, she has earned back the rights to all but two of her albums, and now releases music under Universal Music Group.
